Rules & Fee Information

I. Rules

  1. Market Location and Hours of Operation: The Belmar Farmer’s Market will be located in Pyanoe Plaza which is between 8th & 9th just off of Main Street. The Market will operate between the hours of 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

  2. Space Assignment: The designation and assignment of vending spaces shall be the responsibility of the Market Coordinator/Chamber Representative. The representative shall assign spaces on or before Market Day. Vendors who participate in the Market each week or for a series of weeks may have reserved spaces for this entire period. However, Space designation is at the sole discretion of the Market Coordinator /Chamber Representative each week.

  3. Set-up and Clean-up: The setting up of the Market will begin at 10:00 a.m. Vendors must set-up their own display and be in their assigned location no later than 10:50 a.m. Vendors will be responsible for providing their own table and tent. All vendors shall clean-up their areas at the end of each Market day. All vendors must agree to leave their area free of any debris generated by market activity. Vendors shall not use public trash receptacles for disposal of produce boxes and/or unsold produce. Failure to follow proper clean-up rules will result in Market suspension or termination. All vendors shall load their vehicles in a timely manner following the close of the market.

II. Vendor Fees

  1. Market Participation: Vendors may participate on the following levels:

    1. All 12 weeks - May 30th-August 29th Total Fee: $240.00 (No Market on June 13 & July 4th)

    2. 8 weeks – July 11-August 29 $176.00

    3. 5 weeks – August 1-August 29 $125.00

    4. *Weekly Basis $30.00 per week (Must call one week prior to reserve space.)

  2. Payment: Payments can be made with cash, check or money order. Checks are to be made payable to: The Belmar Chamber of Commerce. In order to reserve a space for the 5, 8 or 12 week level, payments must be
    made prior to the first week of the Market series selected. This is to ensure vendor commitment and will provide Market consistency. NO REFUNDS – EVENT WILL BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE unless there is a severe weather condition.

III. Miscellaneous

The Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to cancel the approval of any vendor’s application if at any time the vendor violates any of the guidelines and/or eligibility requirements.
